Meenakshi Singhal

Meenakshi Singhal is a second year medical student at Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the world’s first engineering-based medical school. She received her bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego in 2022. After graduation, Meenakshi worked on developing new deep brain stimulation algorithms to improve motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. She now pursues projects related to integrating innovation within the medical school curriculum, closed loop neuromodulation, and surgical device development.
